passionate typographic designers with
commitment to search for excellence in design.

About

STUDIO NEWWORK was formed in 2007 by
Ryotatsu Tanaka, Ryo Kumazaki and Hitomi
Ishigaki in New York where all graduated from
Fashion Institute of Technology.

The studio’s process is iterative to deliver
the best design solution. Interpreting and
rethinking are central in our process. Study
and practice in typography is integrated into
projects from beginning to end.

In December 2007, the first issue of
NEWWORK MAGAZINE was published.
It’s a large-format art publication for
connoisseur of fresh ideas. Designed and
published biannually by STUDIO NEWWORK,
each issue features new work from a wide
range of artists and creators in the worlds of
fine art, design, and fashion.

NEWWORK MAGAZINE is a part of the
MoMA Library Collection and Department of
Typography at the University of Reading (UK)
and have been used as educational materials
at numerous institutions and schools.
